"I'm always looking to for ways to use sound to expand the world outside the frame; letting that life in, hearing what we don't see, brings so much to the story." Sam Ejnes grew up capturing music, sounds, and stories on his trusty Fisher-Price tape recorder. In high school, he built a studio in his basement and worked with a veteran engineer, recording music groups around the state. He attended Emerson College in Boston, MA, where he gained a breadth of experience in sound, from location recording to post-production and live television. Ejnes relocated to Los Angeles for his final semester, after which he was hired as an audio engineer at a small post house. He then moved into the freelance world, working on a variety of film, TV, and interactive projects before landing at Todd Soundelux. Ejnes joined Formosa Group in 2014. As a Re-Recording Mixer, Sam brings his diverse skills and experience to every project, helping to enhance storytelling through creative uses of sound and technology.
