Looking back, it’s clear the path that led Nevin to becoming a Music Editor started early in his childhood. It began with recording mixes on the family’s home stereo using records and eight-tracks. High school and college years were consumed by collecting vinyl, DJing at local venues, and producing music in his bedroom home studio. He ultimately earned a Recording Arts degree from Full Sail University and began his professional career as a recording engineer in Orlando. Nevin quickly made the journey out West to pursue ambitions of working in post production for film. He landed at Soundelux Hollywood in 2005 and accepted an opportunity at Modern Music later that year. Nevin studied and learned from some of the best in the business and honed his skills on a range of feature films. “Music is the backbone of any good film. I enjoy working with filmmakers and composers to add the depth of emotion, suspense and joy in a way that only music can.” Favorite quote: “We are the music makers... and we are the dreamers of dreams.”-Spoken by Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
