Bio

"The stories we tell shape all of our lives in profound and lasting ways. I believe that sound is of paramount importance to the impact and art of those stories. It is one of my greatest pleasures to marry amazing sound and amazing stories to bring producers and filmmaker’s visions to life for everyone to be moved and shaped by.” Sam Lewis earned an AS degree in recording engineering from Full Sail University in Florida before moving to California to pursue music. However, after a brief stint in music engineering, he discovered post audio and found that he had a natural talent for it. Over the course of his career, Sam has received a total of fifteen award nominations for his work in post sound, with three wins including a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Battlestar Galactica in 2009. He was also awarded two MPSE Golden Reels in 2009 and 2010 for Best Sound Editing – short form Sound Effects and Foley in TV.
